A founding partner of WSR Law, Rod retired as a Principal in 2015 and now acts as a consultant to the firm.
Admitted in 1970 he brings over 50 years of legal experience to the firm.
Large private clients rely on Rod’s expertise for complex property and commercial transactions.
He also consults to other lawyers at WSR Law and in other legal firms.
Formerly a managing partner at national law firm Deacons (now Norton Rose), Rod’s broad commercial experience
comes from serving on the boards of several ASX listed public companies with national and
international businesses.
Rod has generally acted for clients in the following areas:
- Agribusiness
- Large developers in complex developments
- Property acquisitions and sale
- Leasing
- Planning
- Subdivision
- Construction and property related taxation issues
- Commercial negotiation and advice
- Trusts and estate matters
In addition to his legal practice, Rod has held a number of positions with statutory bodies
including Chair of the Commercial Tribunal of Western Australia and Councillor of the Strata Titles
Institute of WA. Rod has also been a legal member of the WA Tourism Commission and delivered numerous
papers on property related matters.
